Skinvive by Juvederm is an injectable hyaluronic-acid treatment placed as microdroplets within the skin of the cheeks. It is intended to improve skin smoothness and hydration rather than to add volume or structure.

Skinvive is used to address cheek skin hydration, smoothness and overall skin quality. It is not a substitute for volumizing dermal filler, resurfacing or daily skincare, and it may be considered alongside them as part of a plan.

Appropriate candidates are generally healthy adults who would like to improve cheek skin smoothness and hydration. Final candidacy is determined after review of your health history, skin condition and treatment goals.

Treatment is generally deferred during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, with certain medical conditions, or with known sensitivity to the product. If your main concern is volume loss, laxity or texture, a different approach may suit you better.

Small injection marks, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Many patients return to normal daily activity the same day.

Changes in skin smoothness and hydration develop gradually over the weeks following treatment rather than immediately. Individual response varies.

Results are temporary and duration varies between individuals. Maintenance treatment may be discussed. No exact duration can be promised.

Common temporary effects include injection-site redness, swelling, small bumps, tenderness and bruising.
