It is to soften selected movement while maintaining a natural appearance.

WHAT DOES IT TREAT?
Botox is used to soften selected muscle movement that contributes to dynamic expression lines. Commonly treated areas include the forehead, frown lines (11s), crow's feet, brow support, bunny lines, lip flip, gummy smile, DAO, mentalis or chin dimpling, masseter, platysmal bands of the neck, and selected lower-face balancing. Which areas are appropriate for you is determined during your assessment.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Appropriate candidates are generally healthy adults seeking temporary improvement in selected dynamic expression lines or muscle-related aesthetic concerns. Final candidacy is determined after review of your health history, anatomy and treatment goals.
WHO MAY NOT BE A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Botox is not appropriate for everyone. Treatment is generally deferred for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have certain neuromuscular conditions, an active infection or skin condition at the treatment site, or a known sensitivity to the product or its components. Your health history and medications are reviewed at consultation and candidacy is determined on an individual basis.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Botox is $14 per unit. Beauty Bank members receive preferred pricing at $12 per unit. Because dosing is individualized, your total depends on the number of units used in your treatment plan. An estimate is reviewed with you before treatment begins.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CONSULTATION?
Your consultation includes a review of your concerns, facial movement, muscle strength, medical history, any previous toxin treatment and the degree of movement you would like to maintain. Treatment areas and dosing are discussed with you before anything is performed.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPOINTMENT TAKE?
Botox appointments are generally scheduled for about 30 minutes, including consultation and treatment. First visits may take longer. Actual time varies depending on the areas treated and the discussion needed.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
Most patients return to normal daily activity right away. Temporary redness, small bumps at the injection sites, tenderness, bruising or headache may occur. Aftercare instructions are reviewed with you at your visit.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS, AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Initial changes may begin to appear within several days, and the full effect generally develops gradually. Results are temporary. Duration varies by treatment area, dose, individual metabolism and muscle activity, so an exact length of time cannot be promised.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS MAY BE NEEDED?
Botox is maintained with repeat treatment over time. A follow-up assessment is sometimes recommended after a first treatment so results can be reviewed and adjusted if appropriate. Your individual plan and intervals are discussed at consultation.
WHAT ARE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS?
Commonly reported effects include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and headache. Less common effects can include temporary eyelid or brow heaviness or asymmetry. Risks, benefits and alternatives are reviewed with you and consent is obtained before treatment.
